2015 is the year of the Mobile Tipping Point for many non-profits

What is the Mobile Tipping Point? It's the day on which your website traffic becomes 51% mobile. For some non-profits we work with, this day has already occurred.

We help non-profits understand what their mobile donation conversion rate is, and why it's so much lower than their laptop/desktop mobile conversion rate.

Our work is to help organizations understand and improve their donation conversion rates across all devices.

Would you like to better understand your donation conversion rates? Let's talk.

Online Donations Jump for U.S. Fundaisers in 2013...

...but website conversion rates stay well below 1%.

In an article posted today on the popular eMarketer website, the headline focuses on the fact that for some fundraising organizations the number of donations are getting close to 'tipping' into a reality in which most donations come online, rather than offline.

Though the article notes that email response rates are declining, it pointed out that 1 out of every 3 online donations come from email. In contrast, though social media audiences are growing, they don't result in similar rates of online donations.

In fact many fundraising organizations are realizing that what used to be "free Facebook" is quickly turning into "paid Facebook" in order to reach similar audiences to last year's levels.

Finally, and what we consider to be most importantly, the article notes that site donation conversion rates averaged 0.69%. In our lingo this is the "donation funnel rate".

Here's to improving the size, and conversion rate, of all our donation funnels!

Launch event: May 21

In partnership with Google, we'll be hosting a live webcast from Google's headquarters in Mountain View, California right here in Asheville. We'll be at The Rathbun House from 1.30-3.30pm on Wednesday May 21, complete with Starbucks coffee. This won't be an overly-technical session but rather focus on strategic ways fundraisers can do a better job communicating, and driving website donations.
